As requested by many customers, multilayer PCBs of up to 16 layers can now be calculated and ordered online quickly and easily in a matter of just a few clicks with order quantities starting from one unit. The selection in the area HDI Microvia PCBs has been expanded from 1-x-1 to include the 1-xb-1 stack-up.
Flex technology is a brand new addition to the WEdirekt product range and allows for an efficient use of increasingly smaller housing volumes in all three dimensions. The online shop initially offers one and two-layer Flex PCBs.
In addition to the existing material TG 135, WEdirekt now also offers the option of the TG 150. This option is particularly interesting for customers whose focus is on the thermal stability of the PCB.
What is more, the online shop now offers more choice in terms of mechanical processing. The flattening of the edges of PCBs through the chamfering process is possible at an angle of 20° and 45° and is especially important in the use of plug connectors. If it is necessary to metallise the edge of the PCB with copper, this can also be selected in the calculator with immediate effect.
“We are delighted that designers and developers now have the option of ordering samples and prototypes with more complex technology easily online,” emphasises Carina Harnisch, Head of WEdirekt. Online shop customers are able to benefit from extensive expertise, professionalism and a high standard of quality from the PCB technology specialist Würth Elektronik, as well as a fast ordering process in the easy-to-use online configurator.
Speed not only plays an important role in the ordering process, but also in terms of delivery times. The Würth Elektronik sample and prototype plant in the German town of Rot am See is ideally equipped for this purpose and offers superb conditions for the production of fast orders. The easy transition from sample to serial production represents another advantage for the developer.
“At the electronica trade fair, we were able to present our new product range for the first time,” explains Carina Harnisch, “the constantly growing number of orders from the extended range of technologies makes us highly optimistic and encourages us to further develop the configurator and choice of technologies and adapt to the needs of our customers.”
